COMMUNITy NEWS | FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2014 11 Activities Director Corner By Cindy Graves, Activities Director Life is a party and December is the king of months when it comes to party life! Every single day in December is filled with one kind of holiday party or another here at the Lodge. Be sure to check your calendars as well as the event posters in the Lobby to help you make your party priorities. The "Holiday Extravaganza" will be kicking off the large Lodge events. The first day will be on Friday, Dec. 5, at 6 pm and then the same show once again on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 6 pm. You will need to pick up tickets to attend your preferred show date. They are free at the Lodge desk and are available right now. There are only 350 tickets available for each show, so don't wait until the last minute. A holiday choral performance from our own Four Seasons Singers as well as a holiday play put on by our local community theater group will provide the entertainment. Refreshments will be served immediately following the show. A couple of things I wanted to showcase that might get lost in the whirlwind of festivities are the Chavurah Group's Lodge Lighting of the Menorah Celebration, on Friday, Dec. 19, at 5 pm. This will be done in the Lobby complete with latkes and sweets for all. Musicians will accompany this Festival of Lights ceremony with music for the occasion. The next thing I need you to put on your calendar is the show sponsored by the Magicians of the Performing Arts Club. This is a high-end, hilarious ventriloquist and magic act that usually costs a pretty penny, but which we at Four Seasons get to see for free thanks to John Horning and Colin Taylor and their connections with the Magic Castle and the International Brotherhood of Magicians. These special shows have been outstanding in the last couple of years and you don't want to kick yourself when you hear about how great it was from your neighbors. This show will be in our Ballroom on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 pm. Finally, I want to let you know that we have a last minute charity project for the holidays sponsored by the California Highway Patrol. They are collecting unwrapped toys for local needy kids which the department will hand out. The box for this charity will be available in the Lodge lobby for the first two weeks in December. I know that many of you have already given to the needy school kids through the Winter Wish program, but since we're nearly out of Winter Wish requests and many other folks still wanted to give for the holidays as well, we have this wonderful community opportunity too. I want to thank you all for being so loving, caring, kind and generous in this community! You have truly made Four Seasons Beaumont one of the most coveted neighborhoods in Southern California, just by being you! The amount of talent in these homes is astounding and the willingness of folks to contribute their gifts and expertise toward community development, classes and just lending their neighbor a helping hand is equally astounding! You folks are really the gifts that keep on giving. You make everyday around here a holiday and it's such a joy to be able to call so many of you friends. Mayberry has nothing on Four Seasons. Happy Holidays and grateful hugs to you all! Wishing all our four Seasons friends Happy Holidays & a Healthy new Year! From you Euclid Management Staff Jeri Mupo, Eric Zarr, Cindy Graves, Nelly Alcocer, Fabiana Spinelli, Renee Watkins, Krystal Orellana, McAdam Webb, Jeff Jordan, and Joannie Wassing
