Recently I selected several of them to see if my lifestyle might need some adjustments. In each booklet there was a section on the importance of exercise. Managing Your Weight: "Think of exercise as part of your weight management. Exercise burns calories." High Blood Pressure: "Exercise can help you lower your heart rate and manage stress." Cholesterol: "Physical activity can help you lower your cholesterol." Type 2 Diabetes: "Being active lowers blood sugar." "Exercise" is what we do. The class consists of 6 different Leslie Sansone "Walk Fit" DVDs. The easy-to-follow routines are set to music with varied tempo. No memorization of routines is required. Three of the DVDs incorporate resistance bands. Tailor the class to your own needs. The full one hour class is a four mile walk. Leave early or arrive later to shorten your walk. If you can't make it three days a week, that's okay too. Men and women are welcome. We are free! We meet at the Lodge Ballroom on Mon., Wed. and Fri. from 7:45 to 8:45 am: Thursday at 6 pm. M/F, 11:15 am in Ballroom, $4/person/ session. • Zumba Gold: Designed for Seniors, with fast and slow routines to a variety of music.
