Today is the oldest that you have ever been, likewise it is the youngest that you will ever be! Interesting thought isn't it? The one road that we all travel together is the highway called "time" and along it we move inexorably. The end of another year in our lives will soon be upon us. About this time in 2007 our community newsletter calendar listed over eighty activities on the schedule of events for the month. Seven years later, just about the same amount (actually a few more) are available for you to participate in and enjoy. This sends a profound message. It would seem that while we are all seven years older, we are not slowing down; doing these things just takes a little longer. In this regard, we encourage all of you to avail yourselves of the amenities within our community. We are so fortunate to have "so many." There should be no reason for anyone to be bored or lonely. Come up to the Lodge and if nothing else, enjoy the beauty of our garden. Sit a spell and listen to the waterfall. Take in a movie or stop by the Library and choose a book. View the artwork created by our residents or join in on a card game. Play a game of billiards or just have lunch with friends. Don't put things off, live your life in Four Seasons to the fullest! We have no promise that we will experience tomorrow. Today, take every opportunity to "live" and say and do the things that you want your family and friends to remember, for this will be your true legacy. During this holiday season, pause, reflect, rejoice in, and give thanks for your blessings. In doing so you will allow "your light to shine out," and this will be your greatest gift of all! To everyone we send our thanks for your support during 2014. Behold the beauty of the season and may yours be filled with good health, peace, joy and love. In the words of Tiny Tim in the timeless story, A Christmas Carol, "may God bless us, every one." Merry Christmas!
