Each lady picks out a memorable tie from her departed husband. Judy then goes to work to fabricate an exquisite tie- purse which embellishes the character of each tie. Thank you Judy! As we embark on an incident-free 2015, the Access Control Committee is preparing for a safe New Year. In the planning stages will be a proposal for access into the community. We will also be looking at a proposal to address emergency procedures in the event of a disaster. These and more issues will be explored. If you see something to be addressed, don't hesitate to contact us. Have a safe and joyous 2015. Access Control Committee Many of your are considering Solar installations, artificial turf, iron gates, rock (gravel) ground covers, painting, and other improvements for your residence. Before you act, please check with Michelle Restle at the Lodge Office before submitting your plans. Also, there are handouts at the front desk that may help guide you through your project. What plants, trees or bushes (flowers) can you plant that are drought resistant, but will look good in your yard? The ARC has suggestions and photos of plants that meet this criteria at the front desk. Take a lookâyou will be surprised how many there are to choose from. CHECK IT! Our first winter storm produced over three inches of rain. Did you turn off your outside watering system the next day? If so, or if you forgot to, now is a good time to adjust the system to water every third day for about two (flowers/plants) to four (lawns) minutes each. Lawns and plants need only a small amount of water this time of year. If you live on a corner lot, you are responsible for the landscape around the side as well as the front. If you have a tree or palm, you are responsible for keeping it trimmed so the tree does not obstruct the sidewalk, signs or curb.
