Are we really welcoming you to the year 2015? I encourage you to glance at the picture on the wall by the return table on what our library use to be. Now stand back and look at what you created. And, this is my favorite time of year. You either received a new book or bought one for yourself. We receive so many new ones in January, so bring them down! I must mention how beautiful the Christmas decorations looked this year. Thank you Dana and her band of elves! The library was awesome. We welcome you to the Four Seasons community library. Our residents keep us up to date with new and older fiction hardbound books. Our non-fiction section is filled with biographies and a broad range of interesting topics. Check out the very top shelf for our non- fiction. Please remember, we never accept technical books and actually the downtown library doesn't accept them either. Our magazine rack holds three months of donated material. As of this writing please bring November, December and January magazines for us to display. After reading them please be sure to return them for others to read. We have been receiving a large influx of older magazines lately. We just recycle them and certainly you could do that at home. We would appreciate it. We want to give a big thank you to Barbara Hughes for the gift subscription of Redbook magazine to our library. We appreciate the gift! The library committee had to make a decision on the dates of the paperback books accepted. We accept 2010-2014. At times we can hardly fit another book in there and the next day it is so empty looking. The chosen years do work and I cannot wait for new 2015s to be donated! For information about other areas please refer to our library directory next to our return box. The library committee is comprised of residents who enjoy reading and have a desire to keep our 55+ library in order. We all enjoy working there and ask that you please let us do our job. Please don't put your books away, let us do our job! Thanks to the resident who is bringing in the Hemet Herald. Our library is the perfect place to read it! Library committee member Sue read Murder and Moonshine by Carol Miller (hardcover) This is a very interesting debut novel. The story is set in a small town in southern Virginia. The town people take pride in the fact that they know their neighbors and that moonshine is big business. The main character is a young woman named Daisy who is a waitress at the local diner. Early one morning the town recluse arrives at the diner and promptly falls over dead. Daisy is on the case to discover how and why the old man died. As she unravels the mysterious death of the old man, she discovers the town's secrets. We hope you have been enjoying the "younger" pictures of our committee and wonder if you have been able to guess anyone's identity?
