| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | January 2015 | 6 Happy New Year, Happy 2015! We made it through another year. Time went by so fast… again. I hope everyone had a chance to come up to the Lodge in the evening. This year, we had a company come out and decorate the outside of the Lodge and Gazebo, as well as our entrance. The lights on the Gazebo and Lodge look beautiful! And then you walk through the doors and into the Lobby to an amazing display of decorations, lights wreaths and garland along with Hanukkah and Nativity displays. The Lodge interior is decorated every year by a dedicated group of residents under the guidance of Dana Inslee. To the ladies and gentlemen who volunteer, thank you! Your efforts are very much appreciated and do not go unnoticed. The entire recreation area got a new look in 2014. In addition to the holiday decorations, the outside of our Lodge, spa, pool, and gatehouse buildings got re-painted (inside and out), the parking lot got a fresh seal coat and striping and the parking lot lights were re-painted. This happened through a collective effort of committee members, management staff, and vendors of the various projects approved by the Board of Directors. Another topic I would like to write about happened all too often last year. The World Cup Gate Arm was knocked off over 20 times by service and delivery trucks! Luckily we were able to re-attach the arm "in-house" on some and the gate vendor was called out on the others. The Board was able to work with some of the offenders, through the residents, and recoup some of the monies expensed to repair and/or replace the arm. In almost all cases the driver said "My GPS sent me to this gate." Geez, the big sign in the island and the two signs in the gatehouse window that say RESIDENTS ONLY weren't enough of a clue for the driver? So, with that said and with the blessing of the Board, we are taking another approach. Any owner who has guests, deliveries, repairs, regular service or invitees of any type that come to their home, and the person's GPS sends them to the W.C. Gate, and they attempt to illegally follow a resident vehicle through the gate and cause damage, that owner (resident) may be held responsible for any damages and/or repairs. This responsibility is also covered under the Rules and Regulations, Section 4 ,"Guests." So, please be advised that you are responsible for informing the folks you purchase goods from to make sure the delivery people use the Four Seasons Blvd. Main Gate. Please help keep our repair costs down as this is difficult to budget for. The Finance Committee and the Board appreciate your cooperation in advance! Our staff family and I hope that you had a peaceful holiday season with friends and loved ones. I pray that 2015 brings all of you good health and happiness, and that we continue to give thanks daily for all of the blessings we receive.
