Barbershop Chorus Let's begin by wishing each and every one of you a very Happy New Year. A new year means new beginnings so let us make 2015 a year filled with friends, love and laughter. The president and officers of the Paisano Club most especially wish you a year of good health for yourself and your loved ones. We all had so much fun at the Christmas holiday party. The air was festive, the decorations were beautiful, the food was delicious, the entertainment was fun and, my goodness, there were so many presents under the tree that almost everyone left with a little treasure. Business: The slate of officers for this year is as follows: Judy Garthwaite, President; Vicki Rawson, Vice President; Allen Jaszcar, Treasurer; Carol Choisnet, Secretary. A new addition this year is a special committee to help us put together exciting and entertaining programs throughout the year. The Social Committee is headed up by Mical and Dennis Cisterna and includes Lauren Cutner, Priscilla Jaszcar and Gail Matejka. Upcoming: February is a special month; it is a month full of love and chocolate. The month when we let all of our loved ones know how much we care. Our theme for the February event will of course be "Love." No matter what your status come and join us for a delightful evening with caring people. The meeting will be held on Fri., Feb. 6, in the South Club House. Doors open at 5 pm and the price is $13. Our menu will include pork tenderloin, apple sauce, twice-baked potatoes and green beans followed by a delicious chocolate dessert. Coffee and water will be provided and you are welcome to BYOB. Entertainment for the evening will include "The Oldie Wed Game." The color of love is red, so wear as much red as you can find in your wardrobe. The cut-off date to sign up for this event is Sun., Feb. 1. Please drop checks off to Provi Donadio, 630 Twin Lakes Drive. If you have any questions you can contact Provi at 845-1601. The Paisano Club where everyone is welcome and all are considered friends! Paisano Club We are in the process of organizing our 2015 Rally Schedule. We have made a few adjustments in the timing of our rallies for the year and we feel it will be more accommodating. Our Home Rally will be in March and hopefully the weather will be warmer. Also, we will be combining our Sept. & Nov. rallies. We finished off this year with a fantastic rally to Chula Vista RV Resort with 19 rigs in attendance. Everyone enjoyed the activities with the addition of our club's version of horse racing and the game of bolo toss. Some members took advantage of a free tour of the Deering Banjo Factory. Others simply enjoyed the beauty of the San Diego area. A group breakfast hosted by the committee was held at The Galley and our very tasty awards dinner was prepared by Hunter's Steakhouse. March 23-25: Our Home Rally co-hosted by Georgeanne & Vic Shuey and Ellie & Jerry Fawcett. We will have a day of bocce, a day of golf and evening of fun and good food for our awards dinner. More info. will be sent out to all members when available. May 3 - 8: Jackson Rancheria hosted by Linda & Dick Spaulding. This is a premier RV Resort located in California's gold country. There is something for everyone to enjoy. The park provides shuttle service to the nearby casino. Activities include the historic town of Sutter Creek. Some may also enjoy a tour of Black Chasm Caverns. The area has many fine wineries located nearby. Anyone interested, please give the Spaulding's a call at 769-3103 to add your name to the list. Arrangements are being made for a late Sept. rally to Ruidoso, NM. Following this rally some may choose to continue on to enjoy the Balloon Festival in Albuquerque, being held Oct. 2 - 10. If you would like to enjoy the company of good friends and fun times in some beautiful settings this is the club for you. We offer planned activities at each of our rallies with your choice of participation. Activities may include sightseeing in the area, a round of golf, bocce ball, bolo toss, ring toss or bean bag baseball. Some members gather for card games in the evenings. Not the gaming type? We also offer you one of everybody's favorite pastimes of getting together to share a few meals. If you would like to join our club or attend one of our rallies as a guest you may contact Lyn & Jim Ball at 769-3028. Sun Lakes RV Club
