36 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2015 | CLUBS & GROUPS Our Dec. 2 meeting was less well attended than we might have hoped, due in part to the weather. We read, then discussed, a blog posting on the subject of why we write, and why we SHOULD write. We also discussed questions relating to how to edit and revise our writings, and how to deal with inspiration vanishing as soon as we sit down to a blank page or a blank screen. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 1:30 pm. It will be in the third section of the Lodge Ballroom, unless otherwise announced. We may have one or more in-depth discussions about our writing projects, or we may discuss a book or article helpful to writers, or we may have a round- table Q&A session. Our agenda is not yet set as of publication time. The Writers Club exists to aid and encourage writing projects of any type. We invite all current members to come to our meetings, and we always welcome visitors and guests. Please attend if you have a question about something you are writing, or if you are still trying to decide what to write. Remember, writing is how we communicate our thoughts and feelings in a semi-permanent form. Will we see YOU at our Jan. 6 meeting? ~ Phil Bond Writers' Club Classical Music Club Computer Interest Group We are classical music lovers with an interest in sharing our love, knowledge, and interest in classical music. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm in the Conference Room. There we discuss current music performances. Most of the time is devoted to exploring a selection for the month. Today we're all challenged with needing to know more about new technology from our computers, tablets, and smart phones and that's exactly what this club is all about. It's just regular people getting together to swap technical tips and tricks as well as hopes of bringing in computer educators who specialize in different software, apps, and devices to share with our members. We are very open to having any computer savvy residents, come and join us and perhaps share their ideas on topics that they (you) might be familiar with. Topics that are being considered for meetings are: computer, tablet and phone photography, helpful device maintenance, Google apps, Facebook tips, Twitter uses, website building, email helps, as well as G.P.S. and maps (among the many other things). We want to hear from you if this sounds like some thing up your alley. Please come on down to the Lodge and fill out an application for the Computer Club so that we have a better idea what potential members would be most interested in.
