We started the year off with a bang, holding our Annual Chamber of Commerce Installation of Officers and Community Awards Banquet recently at The Pavilion at Chapman Ranch (Yucaipa Valley Golf Club). Thank you to our emcee, Scott Ward, AKA Frogman in the Morning on KFRG 95.1 FM for keeping our evening on track and running smoothly. Thanks to all of our attendees, we had a great turnout! Thank you to all of our very generous donors, the Chamber raised quite a bit of money for our Scholarship Fund through our silent auction. We had the pleasure of honoring several individuals on their outstanding achievements in our community: • Business Member of the Year – Valerie Menefee, State Farm Insurance • Ambassador of the Year – Dora Ordonez • Firefighter of the Year – Eric Abrams • Peace Officer of the Year – Brian Shedd • Citizens of the Year – Bob & Dottie Potter Senator Mike Morrell and County Supervisor James Ramos were on hand to congratulate our honorees. Sadly, we said goodbye to Board Member Dora Ordonez who had reached her term limit. Please welcome our new Chairperson for 2015, Nancy Kenny.
