Even the most experienced drivers can benefit from brushing up on their driving skills. By taking the AARP Smart Driver course you'll learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and how to operate your vehicle more safely in today's increasingly challenging driving environment. After taking the course, you may even be eligible for a discount on your car insurance! (Participants should consult their auto insurance agent for details.) An AARP Smart Driver course will be Tues., Feb. 24, 12:30 to 4:30 pm and Thurs., Feb. 26, 12:30 to 4:30 pm at the South Clubhouse. You must attend both sessions to qualify for the certificate. The classroom course costs $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Space is limited, so register early at the Main Clubhouse starting Feb. 1. Thank you everyone for attending our meeting at the Kennels and for those of you who volunteered. I hope you all enjoyed seeing all the improvements we've made. This is a reminder to always update your information for your animals on their tags and microchips. Many times we go out on a rescue and the dog has outdated information or has an old tag that was the previous owner. If you have lost your dog please call the Main Gate right away. I have a very important message for everyone! We have two little dogs that need immediate homes. Their Sun Lakes mom was placed in an assisted living home in Arizona. The dogs are at Renaissance Pet Resort. They need homes now. Buddy is ten years old (the brown dog) and Molly is five years old (photo right). Both are part Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier. They love to go on walks and play. They are mostly inside dogs but enjoy sitting in the sun and playing outside. They would make a great addition to the family. Please tell everyone you know.
