CLUBS & GROUPS | FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2015 35 Happy February, the month of love. I love the fact that we had several new faces show up for the Friday Night Live auditions and they did a great job. I love that the Performing Arts Club is trying to bring you new, innovative and creative shows for your entertainment. I love that I am part of the Performing Arts Club. I love that you can be a part of our shows without having to commit yourselves to attending meetings or being part of every show. What we need now are more of you to get involved! I know you're involved with other things like dance, ceramics, exercise & possibly one or more art classes. Or is it tennis, billiards, paddle ball, ping pong, bocce ball, or pickleball that gets your heart racing. I often see rooms full of people playing poker, canasta, bunco, mah jongg, and other card games, so I know that you like to get out and have fun. You should take it one step further and try out for one of the many parts left in "Friday Night Live." I guarantee you a fun time. Do you do impersonations of any famous people? Has anyone ever told you, with your voice you should be giving/reading the news? A lot of the acting will be done with 'cue cards', so you won't have to memorize your lines. (That was part of the Saturday Night Live fun… you could always see the actors "reading their lines from cue cards, but they weren't visible on TV.) That should take some of the fear away. Comedians, magicians, jugglers, or any variety act is welcome. Lastly, why are the talented singers and musicians hiding? I don't know all of you, but I know many of you and don't understand why you haven't stepped forward to offer your abilities to this show. I don't want to beg, but we really, really need you, and a 50s band would just be the "cherry on top!" We really need a lot of folks to make this show happen. I'm very proud of those who have already stepped forward, but we still need a whole lot more. Dare I say the words cancellation or postponement, but it is a possibility. Keep your eyes out for a second audition date in early February. There will be a sign up sheet in the Lodge across from the Lodge desk. Don't forget, February is the month of love.
