SOCIAL CLUBS & GROUPS | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2015 | 31 We wonder about the purpose of life… What higher purpose than to discover our True Nature? Meditation, an integral part of proceeding on a path of Self (God) – Realization, promises to do just that. When the mind with its myriad thoughts becomes quiet and still, we can feel what lies beyond. The Pure, Non-Dual (only ONE) Consciousness lies beyond and is our True Eternal Being. Satsang (group meeting with a spiritual aim) begins with a 15 min. meditation followed by a discourse, the subject of which is given below. A short video clip is also presented by a teacher adhering to the same teaching of Non-Duality. As always questions are warmly encouraged. 3/4/15 Clarifying the relationship between Self/God and the Self-Realized Being 3/11/15 The Witnessing Consciousness 3/18/15 The Unaffected Eternal real Self – your Self 3/25/15 Mindfulness – a useful Practice for staying Absorbed in Spirit In March and April we will be having satsang at my home: 5355 W. Pinehurst Dr. It will take that long to repair the damage done to the Multipurpose Room where we were having our Meditation Group satsangs. The day and time will be the same: Wednesdays from 2:30 to 3:45 pm (or longer). Directions: From Main Gate drive one block; turn LEFT onto RIVIERA; drive approx ¾ mile; turn RIGHT onto Pinehurst Dr. Our house is on the RIGHT. This is a FREE offering. My background includes 29 years of formal spiritual practice under the guidance of two masters and six years of teaching (three at Sun Lakes). You need not bring anything except an open mind. My name is Gina and I can be reached at gina-sat@msn.com or 846-1220 if you have further questions. Meditation: a pathway to truth We meet once a month on the second Monday of each month. This month's meeting will be March 9. Meetings are at 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. There is the possibility of some painting and fixing of the room so please check before hand in case of a temporary switch. The group meetings this year have been well attended with many new members. Our meetings are an informal gathering of photography enthusiasts with folks from many levels. Whether you are new to the game or have been taking pictures for years newcomers are always welcome. You are invited to bring up to five photos on either a flash drive or disc. Your pictures will be shown on our large screen. We will also be discussing our annual photo exhibit along with ideas for our April 1 field trip. Field trips are a fun way to see what members can do when taking pictures of a similar subject. There are no dues so you can take that money and put it into photo equipment. For additional information please call Steve Felber, 769-6898. Photography
