Sweepers Creepers are running away with first place with a lead of eight and one half games with Marlene Gartman, Gail Stormes, Larry Stormes, and Andy Toro. Second place is still the Ravens. That would be Maureen Condon, Burt Garbell, Joe Griffin, and Bob Mejia. The team of 3 Feathers and a Tickle moved up to third place with Fred Toro, Bill Casaga, Beverly Casaga, and Richard Cook. Season high scores are as follows. For the men Andy Toro has High Scratch Series with a 765, Harry Taylor has High Scratch Game with a 289, Dan Comerfort has taken over High Handicap Series with 804 and Bob Naus has taken over High Handicap Game with 298. For the women, Gail Stormes has High Scratch Series with 550, Bonnie Green has High Scratch Game with 222, Gail Daniello has High Handicap Series with 735, and Marty Steggell has high Handicap Game with 273. With only nine weeks (as of this writing) till the end of the season there is not a lot of time to make a move. We need to practice hard and often to get better. Many of us are getting ready to go to the tournament in Las Vegas in June. Take advantage of the free bowling at the lanes. Don't just practice the same old things, take a lesson and find out what you can work on to get better. Remember — leave no pin standing! Home Again Bowling Home Again Bowling at Moreno Valley Bowl on Wednesdays has reached SUPER BOWL week with some super scores this past month! Bob McLean with a 268 scratch game tops for the men. Louise Deal with a 218 scratch was high for the women! George Thiel holds the high mens average with a 209.29, Bob McLean with a 202.09 and Bob Greb with a 199.20, all great averages. Bridgette Greb with a 159.45, Micki Elsing with a 154.55 and Dianne Everley with a 154.20 are the high averages for women currently. Team 3, #Tag.Com, Ginger Hines, Dolores Arterberry, Betsy Zalewski and Don Hines is holding on to 1st place with 48 1/2 points. Currently tied for 2nd place is Team 4 and team 14, The Old and the Restless, Darrell Sandlian, Gail Daniello and Jeff Burris, and Goof Balls, Sherry Waters, Phil-Ann Krogman, Jim Krogman and Rick Waters, each team having 44 points. Louise Deal was in a "Hot Streak"and is very inspirational. She has comeback strong again as a right hander after a year as a left hander due to a fracture in her right wrist. This change requires great coordination to say the least! "Atta Girl Louise!" This little lady rolled 209-178-218 for a scratch 605 series and a whopping 825 handicap series! We all paused to watch our lovely secretary, Lil McLean, present special awards to Sandy Hepburn and Bob Greb. Sandy's award for pins over average and Bob Greb's for 11 strikes in a row are from the USBC! Congratulations to you great gentlemen. We look forward to more good times in the final 10 weeks ahead!
