12 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2015 Neighborly Notes By Bobbie Eckel Handicapped parking SpaceS Residents, we need to remember that there are other residents who really do need the handicapped parking spaces. If you can carry your sports equipment into the Lodge for use, you do not qualify for using the specialized parking. Look at the number of Handicapped spaces in view of our total number of households. There are pitifully few of them — and they are rightfully needed by our neighbors with mobility problems. There are even fewer proportionally handicapped parking spaces at the Summit. Please do not infringe on the rights of our neighbors. You may need these parking spaces sometime in the future. Keep them sacred for those who truly need the closeness to a Lodge access now. dayligHt Saving time Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 8. Daylight Saving Time begins that day. Plan to move your clocks ahead one hour. (This will last until Sunday, Nov. 1, when you get to move all clocks again.) facility gueSt guidelineS As we approach spring equinox (March 20 this year), Easter and Passover (in April), we need to be mindful of the facility guest guidelines: Guests must be accompanied by a Four Seasons resident at all times, guests must be registered with the Lodge staff when first entering the facility, only six guests are permitted each day, per household. Without exception, guests are not allowed use of the exercise room, locker rooms, or computer room. However, guests are welcome, given the above parameters, in the Lodge pool, Bistro, Salon and for private parties in the Ballroom or any of the specialized rooms at the main Lodge. tHe Summit The Summit, our new indoor pool recreation center, is open. According to the Community Guidelines, the use of the pool is restricted. Adult guests may use the pool during "open swim time" with their resident host present. No children are allowed to use the pool or spa pool at any time. The schedule for activities at the Summit will be published as soon as it is developed. There are many possibilities for a schedule; they are all being explored. First, however, is taking care of basic necessities like a telephone, computer, etc. The Summit is open from 7 am until 7 pm. Residents must sign in on a clipboard; a log-in with fob is not currently available. JuSt fOr fun More fun signs spotted in various places and reported on the Internet: In a laundromat: "Automatic washing machines. Please remove all your clothes when the light goes out." And one of my favorites: outside a second hand shop, "We exchange anything — bicycles, washing machines, etc. Why not bring your wife along and get a wonderful bargain?"
