| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | March 2015 | 28 Pickleball Come out and join us at pickle ball! We have racquets you can borrow and willing, experienced players to help you learn. When you sign up, we will call you to arrange a time for a small group to come out and learn. We'll help direct you to the correct racquet and court shoes to purchase. Once you've decided to join us, we play recreational level on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We also play on Monday at 7:30 a.m. for those who want to play more competitively. We have fun. We also have social events throughout the year. Any questions, please call Connie Bunge, (951) 514-1214 or Maggie Aguirre, (951) 325-8116. We would love to have you join us! Tennis Friends Tennis players at all levels play practically every day on our friendly courts. Mondays and Fridays, Ladies start dropping in about 9 am. Also, tennis friends gather on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings, at various times, but the early birds are there at 7:30am. And other days, we just show up spontaneously! The "Wednesday Tennis Under the Lights" group has grown, but still room for you! Drills at 6:59 pm are followed by mixed up doubles at 8 pm. Tennis skills are improving. Hi-jinks abound. You can just drop in to any of these events or check with Tracy Trousset, Trish Egan, or Chuck Sims (Tennis Drills Instructor). Likewise, several of our members are familiar with tennis around the So Cal area so if you have questions let us know. We cover many areas of health concerns only one of which is weight loss. Our main focus is support for your efforts. We like the first line of the next paragraph. It works MAGIC! A positive attitude is important for successful weight management. Whether you need to lose, gain, or maintain your weight, you need to make a commitment to gradually adopt a healthier "weigh" of life. You can look at nutrition as a health investment for a long and healthy lifestyle. Whether you are 20, 40, or 55, start now to invest in your own good health. The sooner you start, the healthier you might be in the long run. You can lose weight. The best way to lose weight is to eat less; choose foods low in total fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol; and exercise regularly. High fat intake contributes to excess body weight. Being overweight might increase your risk of developing high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and certain forms of cancer. Losing weight is a big plus in your overall health. We encourage team members to keep that in their goal to a healthy lifestyle. We meet every Wednesday at 9 am in the Multipurpose Room. Come join us. If you have any questions about our program, please call Dave & Karen Tuvim, 599-4236 Apples, Pears & Hourglasses Above: Sandy St. John, Judy Corcoran (snowbird), Judy Bailey, Rhonda Corbett, George Togo (what a lucky guy), Trish Egan and Tracy Trousset.
