"Every difference of opinion is not a difference of principle," said Thomas Jefferson. The truth in this remark can certainly be found within the administrative infrastructure of our Homeowners Association. The excellent appearance and condition of our common area buildings and recreational areas, the integrity of our perimeters, the planning to respond to a disaster, the monitoring of activity in our sphere of influence, the positive financial condition of our association, the social activities made available to you are all the result of considerable work on the part of a number of our residents, our Euclid Management Team and your Board of Directors. This work involves the deliberations among members of our several committees. Having attended numerous committee meetings over the years, I have observed spirited discussion and differences of opinion. Likewise I have never observed any participant lose sight of the objective, that being the continual well being of our community. This speaks volumes about the character and caliber of those who step up to be of service. No one brings a personal agenda to the table to waste valuable time in useless debates. Rather, members come equipped with knowledge and expertise, gained through years of hard work and apply solid management principles to the tasks at hand. Our residents therefore, become the beneficiaries and our association and community thrive. Do you know of the committees about which I am speaking? Do you know the people who Chair and staff these committees? You should. We all owe them a debt of gratitude. You are encouraged to take pen in hand and send a note of thanks to these good people. Leave your written message at the Lodge lobby desk and it will be delivered, unless of course, you would like to attend one of the meetings and thank them in person. These folks indeed put considerable effort into their work and a simple word of appreciation is all the salary they need. Sincerely, and on behalf of your Board, Tony, Greg, Ken, Ross & Russ.
