As promised, please see the three adjacent photos of our February
potluck, hosted by Rich and Bev Meumann. The food was delicious,
and as you can see, we all had a really great time!
Our first in-house tournament on Feb. 17 was really fun as
well. Teams were determined by pulling "peas," and the winners
were Ron Erickson and Pete Antoine (see adjacent photo). It was a
raucous group that day, but there was also underlying tension. In
fact, just before our winning team played their final round, they had
to visit Smitty's for some sustenance, and to calm their nerves. (It's
only a game, guys!) It was such a fun time, and since it was such
a success, the group voted to have an in-house tournament on a
quarterly basis.
We now have four different playing times to accommodate
residents' busy schedules. Tuesdays are our formal playing times,
either 11 am to 1 pm or 1 to 3 pm. Mondays from 2 to 4 pm have been
designated as practice for beginners or skill brush-up. Saturdays
from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm have been reserved for informal practice
to polish those billiard skills for Tuesday's competitions.
If you would like to join a really fun club with amazing members,
please come by the Billiards Room any Tuesday from 10:30 am to
3:30 pm and we'll answer any questions you may have. Hope to see
