We have a confirmed multi-day trip to Utah on the calendar for April and we are in the planning stage for other multi-day trips for later in the year. Our monthly trip is always the third Thursday of every month. We meet in the north parking lot of the Lodge at 8 am. Our February trip was through Berdoo Canyon at Joshua Tree National Monument. We entered the canyon from Dillon Road. The trail was paved for approximate a half mile and then rapidly deteriorated into a rock-strewn narrow canyon. This was a steady uphill climb to an elevation of 4,000 feet where the trail changed from rocks to sand. We emerged onto the black top road at Jumbo Rocks. We had lunch in Twenty-Nine Palms. Everyone had a great time. Anyone who has a four-wheel drive vehicle is welcome. Most of the trips are on state service trails designated as four-wheel drive. We do not do extreme off- roading. If you do not own a four-wheel drive vehicle, you are more than welcome to ride along.
