Sweeper Creepers are going to take first place, Marlene Gartman, Gail Storms, Larry Storms and Andy Toro cannot be caught. They have had as much as a 12 and one half lead at one point. Congratulations. The battle will be for second place with Three Feathers and a Tickle with Fred Toro, Bill Casaga, Beverly Casaga and Richard Cook. They have a one game lead over Killer Keglers with PP Garcia, Mike Galongo, Shirley McDonald, and Ed Collatz. May the best team win. Season high scores are as follows. For the men Andy Toro has high Scratch Series with a 765, Harry Taylor has High Scratch Game with a 289, Dan Comerford has High Handicap Series with 804 and Larry Stormes has taken over High Handicap Game with 305. For the women Gail Stormes has High Scratch Series with 550. Bonnie Green has High Scratch Game with 222, Barbara Semic has High Handicap Series with 746, and Shirley McDonald has High Handicap Game with 289. Our banquet is on April 23 at the South Clubhouse. Our summer league will begin on Mon., May 11. This is for 14 weeks and ends on Aug. 17. There will be a short meeting on May 11 before play starts. (Make your competitive juices overcome your excuses.) Home Again Bowling The final weeks of the Winter 2014 - Spring 2015 Home Again League is coming to a conclusion. At the time this article is delivered to your home in the Lifestyles Magazine, we will have determined our champions and enjoyed our banquet luncheon. Prize money for the whole 32 week season, plus the sweepstakes payoffs will have been paid out! The teams at the top as of this writing are Goof Balls, team 14, #Tag.com, team 3, Recycled Teens, team 10, and Mischivius 4, team 7. The top two teams rolled off on lanes 1 and 2 on April 15. Sweepstakes were April 22. The luncheon on April 25 was combined with the Monday Sun Lakers League. In March, we were entertained prior to league action as rings from the USBC and the Citrus Belt Division were presented to George Thiel. Yes, two rings were presented - a 300 perfect game ring, and a 839 scratch series ring. This was a first in the 20 plus years for our Sun Lakes Bowling League! This seemed to have inspired Bob McLean as he proceeded to roll 9 strikes in a row in his first game, finishing with an 8 spare and a strike to finish with a terrific 278 game! The leagues will lose two great members as Bridgette and Bob Greb are moving to Florida. We will miss you and wish you happy landing!
