get the Joke Last month's joke was an article about a petting zoo. There were a couple of people who inquired about Gabby the Goat when they were in the Main Clubhouse, but for the most part, everyone got the joke. This month will be the last joke for awhile… we're starting a new contest in June. As always, keep the great photos coming. And remember to take your camera to Sun Lakes' events - but make sure you take pictures of people who aren't in the Witness Protection Program. Don't forget photo assignment on page 60. Send any photos of Sun Lakes to sunlakesnews@ yahoo.com. Congratulations to this month's Dinner Winner: Beverly BOatMan Please see Debbie Sorrows for your Sun Lakes Restaurant dinner for two. Somewhere in this issue of "Lifestyles Magazine" is an ad, an article, or something else that is completely made up, somewhat amusing, mildly offensive or just plain hilarious, depending on your sense of humor. When you find it, fill out the box below and turn it into the Main Clubhouse reception desk before noon on the sixth of the month. If you are the first correct guess chosen at random, you will win a free dinner! CoMMunIty Contest | sun lakes lIfestyles | May 2015 | 55 Do we have to share our wine with the animals? Harry J. (That's where fainting goats come from.) First we'll go to the petting zoo, then we'll take the grandkids to the playground, and then we'll all go to the dog park. Janice and Alvin E. (Good thinking!) What a wonderful experience that would be for the grandchildren. Jim S. (You could adopt a pet goat for the grandkids…) Well this one really got my goat! George R. (Good one George!) I would not like eating lunch with Gabby the goat watching and begging. Noravell L. (It's nice to share Noravell!) Hey great! Keeps those pesky grandkids out of the pools! Patricia S. (Whatever works!) Would like to enter our pet alligator! Dale W. (Harsh Dale!) Do you need volunteers to be petted? Charlie F. (Well that would be quite a twist on the idea.) Those who hate having kids in the pool will undoubtedly be unhappy with the petting zoo. Pat Naylor (Two wrongs make a right, right?) I love the idea to have MORE animals among us. All of Sun Lakes would be a petting zoo! Vivian D. (We should charge admission.) Sure hope the wind would be in the right direction. Ruth S. (Is it ever?) Good! My pet snake will have a playmate. Dottie J. (Yikes!) So glad I found the joke, they're always fun! Thanks! Diane H. (Aw shucks, Diane.) This would be good for the children but I won't clean up after. Edward K. (Fair weather friend.) There are some Sun Lakes old goats and nannies you could put on display. But petting them? I don't think so! Dennis S. (What? Who?) your comments: our advertIsers are remember, the production of lifestyles (and the reason it's free to homeowners) is due entirely to the generous support of our advertisers. please thank them by visiting their place of business or calling them first whenever you need their service or product. ThE bEST! On the Veranda For the month of April, the Veranda adjacent to the Main Clubhouse will be turned into a petting zoo. We hope all the grandkids visiting for their spring break come out to meet Gabby the Goat. Enjoy!
