For Mother's Day, your library has an extensive selection of romance novels both in the hard copy and paperback sections. Nothing could be more relaxing than to sit in the shade and read a favorite novel and not think about anything else. Memorial Day is a day of remembrance where you can read a great non-fiction book and sit and reflect about the reason for the holiday. There are some war novels in the North Clubhouse that will allow you to remember the sacrifices made by your fellow Americans during war. The most recent Book Fair, thanks to each of you, was a great success. It allows us to have more room on the shelves to display the newer books. There was something new this time where we were able to sell a group of DVDs that were donated by Dee Nicoletti. Thanks Dee! On April 7 the Library Committee sponsored a luncheon for all library volunteers. There was lots of food, drawings for gift certificates and a chance for everyone to get together and swap stories about working in the Library. Remember that our volunteers work hard each day to keep your library organized and ready for you to borrow books. The libraries are always looking for new volunteers to donate their time to keep our three libraries ready for you. If you would like to become a part of this special group, please contact Lorene Sowash at 769-9999 and say "How can I become a library volunteer?" Your library team will continue to provide additional reading material for each of you to enjoy and will acquire additional large print books. We recently purchased 14 large print mystery novels (all written by well known authors) that were placed in the Large Print section in the Main Clubhouse paperback library. Also, we just purchased a complete set of the classics (60 volumes) which are now available in the North Clubhouse Library for you to borrow. We hope to see each of you browsing the book shelves at one of the three Sun Lakes libraries! Library Committee
