19 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | June 2015 | Summer brings a break to the art league meetings. The next one is scheduled for Thurs, Sept. 17 at 1 pm in the Art Room. We want to thank our own Chef Francisco from the Bistro for his demonstration on "The Art of Carving Fruits and Vegetables" in our May meeting! Barbara and Dennis Kenyon share the gallery wall at the Lodge for the months of May and June. John Ferguson who makes lights from unusual materials is displaying his artistry in the cabinet for these two months. We have several classes available in June. Our guest artist, Daniel Santos, agreed to instruct four classes during this month. He will teach "The Fundamentals of Art" with the focus on composition and strong values and harmony. His classes will be held on the first four Mondays in June. The fee is $15. All levels are invited and you may use either oils or acrylics. Sign up early, if interested, and choose one or all four classes Barbara Kenyon's mixed media classes will resume every Thursday morning starting on June 4. Royce Jerman is still holding her tole painting and her tatting classes. She is also including some beading. Her classes are every Tuesday and Wednesday. The cake decorating class was such a success that Linda Lukerchine will have another free class on Fri., June 5, from 9:30 am to 1 pm. Her supply list is available in the Art Room. The Greeting Card Class is a great success. Kathy Anderson, the instructor has a class every fourth Thursday of the month from 1 to 4 pm. The next class is on June 25. July 23, and Aug. 27, are next two classes scheduled. It is a pre-paid class with info sheets and her phone number in the art room. Call her to sign up to make beautiful, detailed and embossed greeting cards. We need volunteers to help with the fine arts portion of the car show and street fair in late October. It would involve an hour or two of your time and would be either before or on the day of the event. Email Nancy Hawkins (nhawk2blue@aol. com) or call Barbara Kenyon at 537- 8779 if you wish to help out. Looking ahead: Pat Hall will be offering an "Internet genealogy" class. You will learn how to do genealogy research on your computer. This class will be held in the afternoons of Fridays in August. More information to come in the August issue of the Hemet Herald magazine. A sign-up sheet will be in the Art Room. Four Seasons Art League
