Tennis Friends We all benefit from a smooth regular, playing tempo. Rushing too quickly to serve a second serve, or, even a first one in the face of adversity usually does not help. So, you have about 25 seconds to set up, calmly call the score and think about what you want to do as you set up for the next shot. In a tennis game, not waiting for the balls to clear, not calling the score or rushing your serve to get the next point can disrupt your game or startle your opponents. It is poor tennis etiquette. Worse yet, sometimes the score gets confused. When you watch the pros at the end of a point, the score is called, the balls are cleared, then the server starts some sort of routine before serving the ball. Some players reset their strings, some bounce the ball, and a favorite of some is when Maria Sharapova turns her back to the opposing player and seemingly talks to an imaginary friend. Then she sets up to serve. Come join the tennis friends on the courts now that the weather is at its best. We can help each other develop better tennis etiquette and tennis playing tempo, and make new friends. You can just drop in to any of these events or check with Tracy Trousset, Trish Egan, or Chuck Sims. Furthermore, several of our members are familiar with tennis around the SoCal area so if you have questions let us know. Go play! 909-910-6074 Simply the best overhead storage system available!
