FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2015 35 It gives me great pleasure to announce that The Performing Arts Club (PAC), under the helm of Gail Lindeboom, now has "The Real Women of Four Seasons." They will be rivals and cohorts of "The Real Men of Four Seasons," headed by Colin Taylor (see picture inset). Up until now, every skit "The Real Men" have put on has always left the audience in hysterics, gasping for air. I can't wait to see what "The Real Women" have ready for us. "The Real Women" will have their inaugural debut in the PG 55+ show. If you haven't already put this on your calendars, I urge you to do so, NOW! It's Friday, Aug. 14, at 6 pm. In addition to the Real Men and Women, there will be skits, stand up comedy, magic acts, and much more to tickle your funny bone. Martha Franck's Line Dancers will again be showing off their fancy footwork. These shows are always filled to capacity, so don't forget to arrive early. This is the one show, all season, that gets your neighbors talking for weeks and months about the funny jokes they heard. (CAUTION: PG-55 is a risqué comedy show. If this type of material is not to your liking, this show is not for you!) Our Fourth of July show is going to be a lot of fun this year. Under the mastery of our leader, Barbara Wasco, the choir will be singing some wonderful happy, patriotic, and Americana songs. Plus, this year we also have a surprise live performance of a historical reenactment of Betsy Ross' and Patrick Henry's lives in full costume. A show with great content from start to finish. You may have noticed that we cancelled the May 30 radio show. It was unfortunate, but we heard from several potential "readers" that our rehearsal and show dates conflicted with their travel and personal plans. Tom Shelley, our very capable producer of the Radio Shows, made the difficult decision to cancel the show and instead concentrate on the next one on Oct. 23. I will talk more about the holiday show next month. Any questions, contact me at (951) 992-9156. ~ Teri Meyers- Kelman Performing Arts Club The schedule for Karaoke Nights for the year are as follows: June 20, July 11, Aug. 15, Sept. 12, Oct. 17, and Nov. 14. Mark your calendars today! ~ Cindy Graves Karaoke The May meeting was well attended on Cinco de Mayo. Sharon Bond of the Performing Arts Club explained how the PAC will use essays as part of the holiday celebration. Essays written to celebrate holiday memories will be read by the author or by PAC members. Sharon recalled growing up in New York City and recounted the walk down Fifth Avenue to enjoy the store window displays the beginning of the holiday season. Several essays have been submitted ,let us know if you have a story you would like to share. Roland Harrah read his essay and said he is working diligently on his book. Ray Windham shared photos and stories of his extensive travels and Jean Laurin read her holiday essay, much to our enjoyment. John Breyertz read his delightful essay. You'll hear them all at the holiday party. Joan Nicholson, who is working on her eighth book, shared her thoughts on writing which she says she started doing when she was just eight years old. The meeting, held in the Lodge Ballroom from 1:30 to 4 pm the first Tuesday of the month, is fun and is a great help for those of us who want to share writings and thoughts about writing. Join us on June 2. ~ Kathy Barnett Writers' Club
