Summer is upon us, hopefully with time for pool or beach reads!
We wish you a long, lazy summer with much time for family, friends,
activities and enthralling books.
We have recently purchased over 100 large print books for your
enjoyment, including more westerns, mystery, thriller, general fiction,
romance, and favorite authors such as James Patterson, Nelson DeMille,
Dean Koontz, Iris Johansen, Sandra Brown, Patricia Cornwell, John
Grisham, Jonathan Kellerman, Fern Michaels, Nicholas Sparks, Danielle
Steel and many others. They are in the Main Clubhouse paperback
library, but have been moved across the aisle from the desk, and the
large print Harlequins are now where the large print books were shelved.
The recently purchased 60 volume set of classics are housed in the
North Clubhouse, and hundreds of small print Harlequins will be for
sale (8 or 10 for $1) during the upcoming July 4th book sale in and
outside the Main Clubhouse hardback Llbrary.
Our next purchase will be additional westerns, as many of us seem to
have read every title in our current inventory! We welcome suggestions
and if there are other genres or authors you would like us to consider
purchasing, please let us know by calling 909-973-3143. And of course,
we appreciate all types of donated books!
We are always looking for new library volunteers. The volunteers
are a group of Sun Lakers who donate an hour or more a month to
keep our three libraries stocked, sorted, categorized and alphabetized.
If you would like to become a part of this special volunteer group,
please contact Lorene Sowash at 769-9999. We hope to see each of you
browsing the bookshelves at one of our libraries!
