soCIal Clubs & groups | sun lakes lIfestyles | July 2015 |23 This is such a fun month. I always look forward to the Fourth of July parade here in Sun Lakes. I hope you will take your golf cart or some folding chairs and find a spot on Country Club to watch. It is a great time to see old friends and see all the grandkids enjoying the morning parade with their grandparents. I hope to see all of you there. Our next meeting and caregivers support group will be Thurs., July 16 at 10 am in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Our guest speaker will be Gina George (Meditation), her topic will be Taking Care of Me. Gina has 29 years of formal spiritual practice under the guidance of two masters and six years of teaching (three at Sun Lakes). Don't miss this very informative morning. You need not bring anything except an open mind. The support group begins right after Gina. Diane Stone leads this group along with Larry Liebers. Our patient group will meet in the Arts and Crafts Room. This group is designed to help you, the caregiver. Just drop your loved one off and go on to the meeting. Enjoy the meeting and support group knowing you loved one is well taken care of and having fun. We play games, do exercises, have entertainment and do just about anything your loved one wants. Our volunteers are loving and caring. They all have experience with Alzheimer's patients because they have had a family member with Alzheimer's at some time in their life. We care about your loved one. Susan Brown entertains this month. If you would like to learn more about memory loss, Alzheimer's and dementia, we have reading material we can loan you.
