We are dark for July and August. The club is for persons of all computer skill levels. Each meeting will feature various topics and speakers. This is a great way to share information and learn some of the ways in becoming an effective computer user. Our next meeting will be Sept. 17 at 1 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Membership dues are $20 dollars per year per household. Guests are welcome. At the meetings we raffle to a lucky member a gift card. Check our website at www.computerclubatsunlakes.org to get an extra raffle ticket. One monthly meeting is in the Main Clubhouse, Multipurpose Room, on the first Monday of the month from 3 to 5 pm, and the second and third Wednesday of the month in the North Clubhouse from 12:30 to 2:20 pm. But don't come during July and August since we won't be there. During July and August the group will be on hiatus. This does not mean you should not be taking photographs. If you attended the June BBQ you would have been given a scavenger hunt challenge for the summer. These photos can be brought to the September meeting on a CD or thumb drive for showing on the big screen. More details on the September meeting will be found in the August issue of Lifestyles. PHOTO NOTES: If you are planning on taking summer vacation photos here are a few hints to remember. Make sure the camera lens is facing your subject. Otherwise you will simply be taking a picture of your eye. If you are using a digital camera with an LCD screen on the back it is not a television. Just click once per photo. The click is actually a sound recorded in a studio taken from an actual old fashioned film camera. If you hold your cell phone camera out at arms length to take a photo of yourself that is called a "selfie." You know who you are so just look in a mirror. Why would anyone go to the pyramids in Mexico and take a photo of themselves? Why?
