OUR YUCAIPA | JULY 2015 7
Sukhjinder Sangha opened Yucaipa's newest 7-Eleven in May of
2013 offering up the chain's traditional quick snacks, but also offers
up a personal touch, generously sponsoring local sports teams and
schools.
"I like Yucaipa, it's a great community with the nicest people," said
Sangha. "I want to support the kids and the teams as best I can."
Since opening the store, Sangha has sponsored five local teams,
including two little league teams, two Yucaipa youth basketball teams,
and the Yucaipa High Basketball team. This year he also donated
$711 to both Chapman Heights Elementary and Yucaipa High School.
Sangha said he enjoyed watching his now grown son play basketball
in high school, and likes to watch the games of the teams he sponsors.
He often invites his teams to 7-Eleven after for free pizza and
Slurpees.
"Sports play in important part in kid's development," said Sangha.
"I really enjoy children and will try to help them out whenever I can."
Sangha's franchise 7-Eleven is at 33561 Yucaipa Blvd. in the Oak
Glen Plaza near Jose's.
