FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2015 33 Oh, isn't that beautiful! That's spectacular! That's awesome! Those are expressions usually heard while watching the 4th of July fireworks. However, this year we're hoping you will equally enjoy the show we are putting on for you that afternoon. The choir has been rehearsing since April, and I can honestly say that when we sing one of the songs, it literally gives me the chills with how wonderful it sounds. Then, as an added bonus, for the first time, there will be two live patriotic plays in full period costumes. Sounds like a great way to spend a July 4th afternoon, don't you agree? Moving to Aug. 14, is our ever popular, PG 55+ Comedy Show. This is always a sell out. It's a free show with no advance tickets. It's a show packed with entertainment. There is going to be a comedic skit, Three Sisters Go to Alaska, written by Roberta Hokuf, a variety of singers, a pole dancer, a stand-up comedian (guess who… me!), a magic act, the high stepping line dancers, and of course The Real Men & the debut of The Real Women of Four Seasons… plus a song or two from the choir. Please bring your drinks and order your dinner from The Bistro. Reminder: this show has some risqué humor and is for adults only! IMPORTANT: we are looking for extra stagehands. Due to multiple props and stage manipulation, we need additional men/women to help out. Please contact John Horning at (323) 253-3854 or pg55.show@ gmail.com. Oct. 25 is our next Radio Show. Tom Shelley, Producer, is the contact person. If you have any interest in being one of the upcoming characters in the show, please contact Tom Shelley at tomshelley1@verizon.net. I have been in most of the shows and I can affirm that the rehearsals are almost as fun as the actual performance. It is so easy! You read straight from the script. No memorizing… very few rehearsals… everyone gets along well… it's fun, fun, fun! It sure is nice getting new people involved. So, give Tom a call and jump on board with us! And so we come to the end of the year with our Holiday Show, being produced this year by Sharon Bond. Earlier I mentioned that the PG 55+ Show was free. If you haven't noticed by now, all of the Performing Arts Club performances are at no charge, (except for special performances, ie., The Anniversary, which came with a meal). When you enter the doors to a show, you will see a table right inside with a sign for donations. Most of you walk right by without any idea of it being there. I'm letting you know it's there for a reason. We would be ever so grateful if you could put some dollars into our donation box so we could recoup our expenses, of which we have many. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. We appreciate it.
