FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2015 35 We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Craft Room at the Lodge; thus, our July meeting will be July 21. Visitors are always welcome. We invite all photographers, regardless of skill level, to join us for our regular meetings and field trips. Members are always eager to help and teach. We discuss photography, photo software, hardware, and related subjects of interest including demonstrations. On a voluntary basis, members offer their photographs for critique which is a great learning experience for all. Our alternative photo project is ongoing, i.e. we bring a picture of a specific genre we all agree on. For the June meeting, the assignment was to take a picture of still life and if possible, including a part of the body. A photograph of a hand picking up an apple (still life) would be one example. Lots of great photographs were presented showing just how creative photographers can be. As mentioned last month, we will continue to present our monthly pictures using a projector and screen instead of printed photographs. Our club participated in the Art-O-Rama in June. This was a terrific opportunity to see the great expertise of so many of our homeowners. A field trip that we are thinking about is to the wetlands of the San Jacinto Wildlife area. Stay tuned… more on this soon. We hope to see you at one of our meetings. Any questions, please call me at (951) 849-6987. ~ Lyle Cameron Camera Club An Avocet bird at the wetlands of the San Jacinto Wildlife area. Photo by camera club member Gerrie Karczynski. Amphitheater The exciting Big Daddy Band is the featured performing group for the Amphitheater Summer Concert which will be held on July 19. These multitalented musicians will have you up and dancing to their musical beat from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Though the concert begins at 7 pm, you are welcome to bring your chairs earlier in the day to reserve your space. (Please note: neither a blanket spread on the grass nor a "reserved" sign will hold your spot.) When placing your chairs, leave space both in front and back of your chair for those folks who elect to sit on the concrete risers. Don't forget to bring a wrap; though our days are warm and toasty, it can be quite cool once the sun sets. See you there! ~ Doris SanFilipo
