My name is Robert Beech. I am the newly elected Chair of the Access Control Committee. I want to thank two of our Board of Directors members Russ Brown and Jim Hatcher for their many years of service as past Chair of this committee. They both have made major safety contributions to this community. They left large footprints to follow while continuing to maintain a safe environment here at Four Seasons Hemet. Safety is a community wide effort that requires the participation of all of us. You will be asked by this committee to do your part to keep the safety record that exists here. For example, we have never had a speed related accident. Due to the lack of criminal activity, the Hemet Police come here for service calls but rarely for community patrol. Our Board of Directors have recognized the value of using a 24 hour Community Access and Patrol company to enhance safety at Four Seasons Hemet. The Access Control Committee is here to serve you. We meet on the second Wednesday of the month in the Conference Room. We welcome visitors. We need volunteers. Please be safe and continue to drive safe. Access Control Committee Landscape Committee Well, it certainly appears that summer is upon us and we are all reminded daily of the drought's affects on our shrubs and lawns. As we are all aware, the governor has issued an Executive order to implement and enforce statewide mandatory water reductions for the first time in California's history! In fact, residents are being asked to reduce outdoor watering by 50 percent. We are diligently working to address the heat and drought affects on our community common areas while implementing cost savings measures at every meeting. When plants are removed, watering systems are scrutinized and plants are being replaced with drought tolerant varieties that will be hearty as the summer heats up, as well as, maintain the beauty of our community. Our community landscaping crew continues to balance monthly maintenance, report problem areas to the committee, as well as, implementation of water saving measures throughout our community. As a reminder, if you are planning on changing or replacing your landscaping with a more drought tolerant design, submit your plans to the Architectural Review Committee for approval before the work is started. The Landscape Committee welcomes your ideas. If there is an area that needs attention, please let us know. There are Landscape Maintenance Request forms available at the Lodge front desk. | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | July 2015 | 12 Planning a change? The ARC has been reviewing an average of 20 requests per month from owners wanting to make changes on their property. If you are considering such a project, please insure that you include on your plans/application the following ITEMS which many are leaving out. Solar Panels: Where the conduit is located? It must be in the attic or under the eaves. Where is the inverter (box) located? Is it in your garage or behind your side gate? Artificial Turf: Provide a sample of the turf with specs. Your installer can give you this information. Rock, Gravel, Bark Ground Cover: Sample of materials to be installed. No decomposed gravel is allowed. Plant Material: Names, size at maturity (width & height) in inches. The nursery or store has this information, or it is listed on the label that comes with the plant. Pictures are welcome. Provide LOCATION of plants on your Plot Plan. Replacing a Gate: Wrought iron gates must have a 1/16th or 3/32th perforated screen. Note: If you do not include the above information with your application, it could be denied which will delay the start of your project another two or more weeks. Architectural Committee
