| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | July 2015 | 22 Guitar Club The future of the Guitar Club is at a significant crossroads as of this writing and our last scheduled meeting was June 19. The club membership had slowly waned and our attendance noticeably declined. We are all busy people with many interests as well as other activities, and although we accomplished so much over the past four years it was evident that our enthusiasm had diminished and it became difficult to keep interests up. We would have been starting year five last month. We became close friends and it was my great fortune to be part of the Guitar Club because you all made it so much fun. I hope that the Guitar Club inspired you to play on your own or to keep learning. A huge Thank You to Bob Hagen, our leader, for his time and effort in helping us with chords and bringing so much knowledge and experience to the club. Thank you to Mike Murphy, who without him, we could not be a club. Mike set up all the songs so that all members had access to the songs, made every change or update to each song and republished the songs. We could not have grown like we did without you Mike, so, thank you for your dedication to the Guitar Club. Thank you to Jerry "Hawk" Hawkins and Hank Callaghan for leading the Guitar Club on so many occasions. And, to our ever faithful members, Russ Brown, Hal Clark, Lois Cowan, Orville Ellingworth, Sandy Iannotti, Linda Negrete, Bud Piraino and newer members: Gerry Edmonds, Michael Lindstrom and Bob Vargo. Bob Hagen and Jerry Hawkins are still planning to offer tutoring, so if you are interested, please contact either of them to make arrangements. Thank you all for your participation, musicianship and friendship. The Guitar Club will be one of my life's best memories! We had a great time didn't we? Keep on strummin'!
