Dinner Dance Club continues to offer a relaxing and enjoyable evening out. With the warm evenings, the suggested attire remains "dressy-casual." The music will begin at 6 pm and continue until 9:30 pm. The doors will open at 5 pm to allow members an opportunity to enjoy a free, half-hour "Night- Club 2 Step" dance lesson given by Ralph and Marilyn Yates. The menu will begin with a BLT salad followed by your choice of entrée as follows: 1) Chicken cordon bleu served with garlic mashed potatoes along with asparagus & carrots for $21; 2) Pork chops served with garlic mashed potatoes along with asparagus and carrots for $22; 3) Stuffed portobello mushroom (stuffed with mashed potatoes) for $19. Tiramisu sounds like the perfect dessert to end an excellent meal. Sign ups for this dance will be held on Thurs., Aug. 13 in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Table selections will begin promptly at 2:30 pm so come early enough to have all paperwork completed by the time of the table selections. If you signed-up for this dance but find that you are unable to attend, please call Pat (769-3440) before 3 pm on the day of the dance. She will help you get your meal to take home to enjoy. Sounds like a great date night! Dinner Dance Club To all Sun Lakes residents, if you think you have an interest in learning about the activities of the Country Western Dance Club, we will help you by having a FREE introductory dance in August. No charge and no obligation. Come and see what our club is about and if you are willing, you can learn a basic line dance or two and/ or a basic couples dance. This August dance is also an opportunity for our more experienced dancers to demonstrate a few of our favorite dances, assuming we can remember them. One of the really nice features of Country Western dancing is that everyone, singles and couples, are equally welcomed to come learn a dance and have a good time. The introductory dance will be Aug. 28, at 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Mark your calendar and plan on coming. Do you have a reluctant partner? Drag them out of the house and bring them so they can meet some new friends, have a drink, and be entertained. Who knows, they might even have a good time. In September, we will start our dance instructions with very basic dances. Line dance instruction begins on Mon., Sept. 14, 7 to 8:30 pm, South Clubhouse. Couples instruction begins Tues., Sept. 15, 7 to 8 pm, South Clubhouse. Our first Country Western Dance this season will be Fri., Sept. 25, at 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Always check our Lifestyles article for activities, times and places. Info., Joe or Jean, 769-9148.
