PROGRAM FOR AUGUST: John Guldseth, one of the last cherry tree growers from Oak Glen, will be our speaker for August. John will speak on growing fruit trees in the Pass area. He also will touch on vegetable gardening and some local history. Come join us Aug. 12 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom at 10 am. SEPTEMBER PROGRAM: The September program will be an evening event. No morning meeting. Come join us on Wed., Sept. 9 at 5 pm to 9 pm for a Western BBQ. The Riley's Farms entertainers are coming down the mountain to entertain us. Tickets are already being sold. This event is open to all Sun Lakes residents. Get out your western gear and come on down! FRUIT PICKERS: Please call our fruit pickers to clean those fruit trees. TRIPS: On Aug. 26 we will again return to the Grand Tradition Estate and Gardens. This will be a night time experience and give another prospective of the property. Enjoy the new feature at the gardens, the Orchid Bar where you can purchase cocktails and dinner, which are on your own. You can also tour the gardens at your leisure on your own. Dec. 2 will find us traveling to the beautiful Mission Inn and Riverside Mall. If you have not seen the Mission Inn decorated for the holidays, you must not miss this trip. If you chose to donate full size toiletries we would use those as donations also. These donations are given to our local charities that help those in need.
