Start planning now for all the fun activities on the way at YAH! AUG. 23, KARAOKE: Join us for a night of song and fun at the South Clubhouse. We will have appetizers and music for your enjoyment. DATE CHANGE) WINE TASTING, DINNER AND MUSIC: This event will be in the Main Clubhouse Ball Room and is open to everyone in our Sun Lakes community. The menu will include elegant tasting stations with shrimp, strip loin, chicken, roasted potatoes, asparagus with red peppers, Caesar salad, dinner rolls, fruit cheese and crackers and let's not leave out dessert. There will be several vendors present with wines for your tasting pleasure. Wines will be available for purchase during the event. The cost is $50 pp for YAH members and $55 pp for non-members. OCT. 24, HALLOWEEN PARTY: Get ready ghosts and goblins for a night of spooky fun. The event is still in the planning stages and we will have more information in the next issue. Time to take a road trip and do some family history research. Road trips are always interesting and most of the time eventful. We have planned some events for the next few months that might fit right into your research journey. Aug. 26: "Cleaning up your fallen branches and sweeping up the leaves" Sept. 23: Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, a close road trip to their museum and research center Oct. 28: Guest speaker, Gina Philibert-Ortega, author of new book, From the Family Kitchen, discusses food heritage and preserving favorite recipes.
