We've got an amazing show called "Side by Side by the Divas Divine" put on by the Social Committee on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 6:30 pm. You are going to be amazed at the incredible voices showcased in this performance. And because we are having the show here we will not be paying Candlelight Theater prices; our residents will only have to pay a measly $15 per ticket! The tickets are on sale now at the Lodge desk and can be purchased up to the night of the performance or until the seats are gone. This is not a dinner theater show, so please eat before you come and refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the evening. You really will be sorry if you miss this opportunity. The next show you will not want to miss is on Friday, Aug. 14 at 6:30 pm, the "PG-55 Twisted Cabaret Show." This show is an adults only show… meaning that there will be suggestive material used throughout the performances. There will be a line up of hilarious acts and songs that are surprising, unique and unforgettable. There is no cost to attend and it is a dinner theater show, so feel free to purchase your dinner at Smitty's and bring it in. The next night, Saturday, Aug. 15 at 5 to 6 pm we have a very special opportunity here in the community to attend an exclusive concert in the Lodge Ballroom. We have an internationally renowned Chinese Pipa player named Wan Yeung, with a gorgeous instrument that looks similar to a large lute or Chinese guitar. You will be awed at the extraordinary music he plays (see story on page 17). The Classical Music Club is sponsoring this rare engagement. There is no cost to attend, however, we will have a "Donation Location" so that we can hopefully send Wan back to Hong Kong with a Four Seasons "goodwill offering." Just a note in case you're confused when looking for Karaoke on the event calendar, Karaoke will be pushed back until 6 pm after the Pipa concert is over rather than its usual time of 5:30 pm. Trust me, it will be totally worth it! Activities Director Corner By Cindy Graves, Activities Director cAleNDAr fOr 2015
