FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2015 13 Manager's Update By Jeri Mupo, General Manager A littlE DustY: In an effort to reduce the water use while cleaning outside common areas, the maintenance vendors will be broom cleaning and/or power blowing the patio and sidewalk areas. We may experience a little more dust, but we feel it is necessary in order to conserve water. Periodically the janitorial vendors will use a hose or power washer to remove the chlorine from the pool/spa deck and grease around the barbecue area. uPDAtED GuiDElinEs: Thank you to all the homeowners that picked up their copy of the Community Guidelines. This saved the association over $1,800 in postage. Unfortunately, over 500 residents did not pick up their copy at a mailing cost exceeding $3,000. summit rEsiDEnt rEcommEnDAtions: The resident recommendations from the Summit were reviewed at the Board meeting and the following is the status of each recommendation: • A warranty request has been submitted to K. Hovnanian to install on/off switches for the patio fans • Safety and Facilities Committee has recommended additional furniture for the patio/deck area. • The Board requested Safety and Facilities Committee review/recommend temperature for the pool. • Operating hours sign has been purchased and will be installed upon receipt. • Music will not be provided in the pool area at this time. • Pool railing covers will be adjusted. • WiFi is available in the pool area. Depending on the device service may be faster/slower. • Mats are available in the locker area. This will be monitored for additional needs. • loDGE GrounDs rEnovAtions: The Board is waiting for further information from K. Hovnanian regarding the amenities that will be provided at Recreation Center 3. This will determine what amenities may be considered for the Lodge grounds. Information will be provided to the residents as it becomes available. DollArs & sEnsE: At the July 9, 2015 Board of Directors meeting, the Board approved the following expenses: • Installation of drip irrigation system from Potrero gate to traffic circle: $3,087 • Concrete repairs Lewis Creek/Salt Creek Paseo: $4,800 • Purchase defibrillator for 1528 building: $1,781 • Purchase 80 church chairs for 1528 building: $2,685 • Purchase replacement computer for Potrero gatehouse: $2,100
