FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2015 35 We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Lodge Craft Room. Our next meeting will be Aug, 18. Visitors are always welcome. We invite all photographers, regardless of skill level, to join us for our regular meetings and field trips. Members are always eager to help and teach. For the July meeting, the assignment was to take a picture of a door or more than one door. Yes, that's correct, doors. Doors anywhere can be interesting, but doors in Europe are especially photogenic as lots of them haven't been painted in hundreds of years. Needless to say, lots of great door photographs were presented with some from faraway places our members visited on vacation in recent years. As mentioned in the last couple of Breeze issues, we will continue to present our monthly pictures using a projector and screen instead of printed photographs. Our club has introduced additional topics to our meetings with various members giving quick presentations to the members on a subject they know and/or use, e.g. software, hardware, etc. For example, last month in our July meeting, our Chairperson, Irve Sturner spoke about the merits of Micro Focus Adjustments on lenses for DSLR cameras. A few months ago, I gave a "show and tell" presentation on the use of Gimbal Tripod Heads. We'll also be introducing short YouTube instructional topics; upcoming will be Back-Button Focus. We hope to see you at one of our meetings to show and share both knowledge and some of your great vacation photos. ~ Lyle Cameron Camera Club Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad by Camera Club member Bill Taylor. Amphitheater The Four Seasons Summer Concert Series is past the halfway point of our 2015 season. We have heard a variety of styles, artists and personalities - and all have been entertaining! We welcome back Elai Yehesshkel, a guitarist, who brings his style of rock music to our Four Seasons amphitheater. High energy and great sounds is a guarantee of an enjoyable evening under the stars. (You might remember him from last year's Four Seasons Halloween Party.) The concert begins at 7 pm and you are able to place your chairs in your favorite spot earlier in the day. Please remember to leave space both in front and back of your chairs for those people who elect to sit on the concrete risers. Only a chair will reserve you spot - neither a "reserve" sign nor a blanket will be honored. Our days may be a little warm, but when the sun dips below the horizon, a sweater or jacket might be needed. See you all there! ~ Doris SanFilipo
