7 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | August 2015 | Here we are over half way through the year, and life just seems to keep speeding up. When we were little children, we couldn't wait to get older, counting the days and hours until our birthday or a special event — go to school, to be a teenager, to get our driver's license, to drink (legally that is), graduate high school and/or college, get out to a real job, get out into the real world. Then came the mile markers: 30, 40, 50, 60… marriage, children, grandchildren (maybe even great-grands), get that senior discount, qualify for social security, retire. When does it slow down? When do we go back to counting the days and hours until something special happens? One of my favorite quotes from Abraham Lincoln says "In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." Let's make every moment of every day of every year count! There are some wonderful events coming up throughout the rest of the year that will help to improve the quality of life here at Four Seasons, take a look and plan to attend. • Aug. 1: Starlight Cinema: Outdoor movie on the Plaza.
