12 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2015
Neighborly Notes By Bobbie Eckel
A reminder about the water restrictions for the Beaumont-
Cherry Valley Water District: lawn watering is restricted to
Monday, Wednesday and Friday for addresses ending in odd
numbers and Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday for addresses
ending in even numbers. This will remain in effect through
October. Starting in November, we will be limited to two days
a week.
This does not apply to drip irrigation.
Roxie Elliott from the African American Culture Club has
generously offered to host a "boot camp" to discuss important
information regarding Trusts, Directives, Last Will and
Testaments on Monday, Sept. 14 at 6 pm in the Lodge Card
Room. The boot camp is open to all residents. There will be
time after the presentation for questions and answers. If you
are interested in attending, please call Roxie at (951) 769-2517
so that she can prepare sufficient handouts.
Beaumont Pass Transit has announced two enhancements to
service in the Pass area. A Saturday service has been added
which goes to the Loma Linda VA Hospital. The route has also
added a stop near Calimesa Boulevard and County Line Road
in the city of Calimesa. The new Beaumont Route Two offers
daily service to Beaumont, Banning, Casino Morongo and
Desert Hills Premium Outlets. For a full list of current routes,
maps and pricing, you are invited to go to the website www.
BeaumontCares.com.
Please remember to use your directional signals as you drive.
This not only helps other drivers know your intentions, but it
also lets pedestrians know which way you are going.
Although it is marked in the event calendar, remember that
Waste Management considers Labor Day a holiday. Trash pick-
up will be delayed by one day. Put your bins out on Tuesday,
Sept. 8, after 5 pm, for pick-up on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
Comments from the punographer: (1) "I didn't like my
beard at first. Then it grew on me." (2) "What do you call a
dinosaur with an extensive vocabulary? A thesaurus." And (3)
"Why were the Indians here first? They had reservations."
