Bocce If you missed sign up on Aug. 16 and still want to play Bocce, we will still accept players to fill teams that would like to have more than four players, or a team that just did not have enough players at the time of sign up. We also encourage anyone who does not want to commit to eight or nine weeks of playing to volunteer to be a referee. We need as many as we can get since we always have a shortage of referees. It's a fun way to learn about Bocce and really gives you an edge on Bocce as to the do's and don'ts. I also want to remind anyone who would like to volunteer that we plan to organize a better substitution list, so we will be needing players to also sign up even if you already belong on a team. To volunteer for any of the mentioned positions please call me directly at the phone number listed below. Also, good luck to all our teams that signed up for the 2015 season. For information contact Ross Brunetto at 926-8295. Shuffleboard For all our shuffleboard players that did not get to sign up on Aug. 16, the club will also accept players to fill a full league. Leagues consist of 12 teams with two players on each team. We will do our best to try and complete as many leagues as we can and will resort to a better substitution list if this becomes a problem. Remember that this is an outdoor game and somethings can't be avoided such as hot weather, or noise from landscapers. To help with the heat we will start Shuffleboard the last week of September hoping we will gain cooler games towards the end of our season. Thanks to our players for making this club a fun outdoor sport. We have many obstacles to contend with but with your understanding, we always seem to work around them. I also want to remind folks with a physical impairment that the club does accommodate everyone who wants to play. Sue Malarkey will again be the club's secretary so we are glad she is still willing to put up with all our complaints. She does a great job trying to get the teams to work out. Hope to see all you players at our first game on Sept. 24. For information contact Ross Brunetto at 926-8295. Horseshoes The Horseshoe Club is off and running and the shoes are hitting the stakes dead on this year. The club started up again last year due to interest and our membership is increasing each time. The club is open for prospective players to come watch every Saturday starting at 8:30 am and we would like to add you to the member list. Come check it out!
