You're parents aren't as dumb as they seem. 2. Axe body spray is not a substitute for showering. 3. If this is the best time of your life, it's sad that you're peaking at 17. It gets even better. 4. Don't smoke drugs. Or anything else. 5. It's okay to have a good relationship with your parents. Your friends won't think you're weird. 6. No one cares where you live or how much money your parents make. 7. Not everyone is going to like you. That's okay. 8. A little bit of Axe goes a loooooooonnnnnnnnnggggggg way and a lot of Axe is felony level air pollution. 9. Brush your teeth at least twice a day. And floss. 10. Be yourself and not what you think is 'in.' 11. Don't lie. And don't gossip. 12. Be nice to the shy and awkward kids, the ones who don't fit in or are different. 13. Don't worry if you're shy or awkward, don't fit in or are different. It's a big world and there's a place that fits for everyone. 14. Be nice to the nerds. They're the ones who may (or may not) hire you in five years. 15. Do your homework. 16. Save at least 10 percent of every dollar you make. 17. Go outside and get some fresh air. 18. If the choice is between cheating and failing, fail. Then do ALL the extra credit. 19. Remember everything you put on social media (and that includes SnapChat - it doesn't disappear forever) will come back to haunt you when you apply for a real job. 20. Don't have a girlfriend or boyfriend just to be physical. That's called using people and it makes you not a nice person. 21. Be a nice person. 22. Everything you put in your brain shapes who you are. Garbage in, garbage out. 23. Watching YouTube is watching other people doing something with their lives while you waste yours. You don't have all the time in the world! Do something! 24. Play a sport or join a club. Get involved in something. 25. It's okay to break up with friends. 26. When things are hard, remember, this too shall pass. 27. High school problems aren't permanent problems. 28. Don't worry about what other people think. 29. Listen to your teachers. 30. You're not the smartest person in the room. Everyone has something to teach you. 31. Smile more. 32. Don't waste your time on people who don't like you. 33. Get involved in school - you only get to have the high school experience once. 34. Don't rush growing up. Once you're there, you can't go back. 35. Crop tops and booty shorts send the wrong message. (Unless the message is, "I don't like myself very much and don't have too much going on upstairs, plus I'm kind of a slut," then crop tops and booty shorts send the right message.) 36. Make eye contact when you talk to people and have a firm handshake. That goes for girls too. 37. Eat more fruit. 38. Be nice to your mom; she loves you the most. Also, don't block her on Twitter. 39. Learn lessons from your mistakes. 40. A promise made is a debt unpaid. 41. Enjoy living at home - it will be over before you know it. And mind your parents. They're looking out for your best interests, even if you think they're torturing you. 42. Your first instinct is usually right - so is your inner voice. Listen. 43. If the person in the car next to you can feel your music, it's too loud. You are not in charge of the world's playlist. 44. Don't let fear influence your decisions. Sometimes you only get one chance to do something amazing. 45. Own your mistakes. 46. You will fall in and out of love dozens of time before you're 30, so tap the brakes home skillet. 47. What you think can change the world. Communicating what you think on social media won't change anything. 48. Always check your shirt after you sneeze. 49. Take responsibility for your actions. 50.
