If you are interested please call the reception desk and sign up for a time slot. We have time slots every 15 minutes from 9 am to 2 pm. The donation center will be set up inside the Multipurpose Room at the Main Clubhouse. Hope to see you there! To celebrate Healthy Lung Month, here are a couple ways to keep your lungs in tiptop shape. Smoking is the first thing that springs to mind. Avoiding cigarette smoke is not the end all be all of keeping a healthy pair of lungs, but it will help. Regular exercise is a major factor. Heart, lungs, and muscles function better when they are regularly made to work harder than they do at rest. Immunization can lower your risk of contracting a lung condition. Influenza, once a mass killer, is now only a sometimes- serious health problem. Cold temperatures and dry air tend to stress the airways. Getting a shot to help ward off the virus is a good way to keep your lungs healthy all year 'round. ~ Jason Ewals frOM the recreatiOn departMent October Garage Sales Start cleaning out those garages for our Fall Garage Sales. Riverside Concert Band on the Driving Range Sat., Oct. 17, 4 – 5:45 pm on the driving range. Come out and join us for a spectacular concert put on by the 40 member Riverside Concert Band. This band has been around since 1876 and has served Riverside county presenting live music for numerous civic, public and private events. The band is comprised of community members who play woodwind, brass and percussion instruments, and performs in the "traditional" concert band style. Over the past few years, the band has diversified and now presents a swing ensemble in addition to the traditional concert band. This includes big band and Dixieland music, light classics and the ever popular marches. This is a show that you don't want to miss out on. So grab some friends and head on out to the veranda and driving range for this spectacular evening outside filled with some great music
