The Sun Lakes Computer Club will be meeting Thurs., Oct. 1 and 15 at 1 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of each month. Our summer meetings are held on the third Thursday of these months. The club is for persons of all computer skill levels. Each meeting will feature various topics and speakers. Handouts are given out for each presentation so you can take notes. This is a great way to share information and learn some of the ways in becoming an effective computer user. Upcoming Meetings: Oct. 1: Security part 2. Oct. 15: Windows 10. Nov. 5: Routers and the Cloud. Nov. 19: Christmas brag letter and Adobe labels. Dec. 3: Holiday party in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Dec. 17: No meeting. Membership dues are $20 dollars per year per household. Guests are welcome. At the meetings we raffle to a lucky attendee a gift card. Check our website at www.computerclubatsunlakes.org to get an extra raffle ticket. Info., Jerry Munnelly, 769-1787. 32 | sun lakes lifestyles | OCtOBeR 2015 | Computer Club If you enjoy taking photographs you certainly will like attending the Sun Lakes Photo Group. Meetings are informal, there are no dues and whether you are a novice or a pro it is always fun to see what others are doing with their cameras. Meetings are always on the second Monday of the month at 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. We have a projector system and photos can be brought on either a CD or a flash drive, sometimes known as a thumb drive. If you would like to see what members of the group have been doing there is an electronic display next to the Main Clubhouse lounge with revolving photos. Some members had no idea which end of the camera was which and their progress is amazing. For the October meeting bring up to five pictures to share on flash drive or CD. We will also be discussing menu preferences for our December catered dinner. We'll need a minimum of 25 with payment in advance or it's back to the old potluck party. A field trip was planned for Oct. 20 at the September meetings. Meet in the Main Clubhouse parking lot at 8:45 am to carpool, we will leave at 9 am. Info., Steve Felber, 769-6898. Photography We wonder about the purpose of life… What higher purpose than to discover our True Nature? Meditation, an integral part of proceeding on a path of Self (God) – Realization, promises to do just that. When the mind with its myriad thoughts becomes quiet and still, we can feel what lies beyond. The Pure, Non-Dual (only ONE) Consciousness lies beyond and is our True Eternal Being. Satsang (group meeting with a spiritual aim) begins with a 15 min. meditation followed by a discourse, the subject of which is given below. A short video clip is also presented by a teacher adhering to the same teaching of Non-Duality. As always questions are warmly encouraged. 10/7 Grace Beyond Measure 10/14 Afraid of Letting Go 10/21 The Most Precious Gift of All 10/28 The Ever-Present 'I' of Infinity We meet every Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:45 pm (except for the 4th Wednesday of the month on which day the time changes to 3:30 – 4:45 pm) in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room (next to the library). This is a FREE offering. My background includes 29 years of formal spiritual practice under the guidance of two masters and six years of teaching (four at Sun Lakes).
