| sun lakes lifestyles | OCtOBeR 2015 |27 This is a fun month for me, I get go trick or treating with the grandkids. Another fun event this month is the Halloween Doggie Parade on Sat., Oct. 24 at 10 am on the driving range. I have marked my calendar for this event and plan to attend. Hope to see you there, it should be a fun morning. Our next meeting and caregivers support group will be Thurs., Oct. 15 at 10 am in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Our guest speaker will be Jane Farmer from Desert Hills Memory Care. Her topic has not been confirmed. Check channel 97. I will post is as soon as I have that information. The support group begins right after Jane. Diane Stone leads this group. Our patient group will meet in the Arts and Crafts Room. This group is designed to help you, the caregiver. Just drop your loved one off and go on to the meeting. Enjoy the meeting and support group knowing your loved one is well taken care of and having fun. We play games, do exercises, have entertainment, and do just about anything your loved one wants. Our volunteers are loving and caring. Thank you to Carl and his service dog, Nelson. Carl spoke to us about spending a month at Guide Dogs of the Desert so he and Nelson could learn about each other. Nelson helps Carl get around because Carl has a problem with his vision. Mark your calendars for our Christmas luncheon. It will be Thurs., Dec. 17 at 11:30 am. This year it will be held at Johnny Russo's restaurant in Banning. You will have a choice of approximately five meals to choose from for $8.50. We will have the banquet room, and entertainment will be provided by Ray Randon.
