FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2015 5 Manager's Update LOST KEYS We have collected a number of lost keys. Many of the keys look like they belong to someone's vehicles. If you are missing keys, please stop by the front desk and see if we have them. POOL TEMPERATURE We have received many suggestions from the residents regarding the Summit pool temperature. Currently the temperature is set at 82 degrees. The Board has asked the Safety and Facilities Committee to review the requests and submit their recommendations for Board consideration. At this time, the committee recommended that the Summit pool heat remain at 82 degrees until the Lodge pool heat is turned off for the winter. This is scheduled for Nov. 1. As of Nov. 1 the Summit pool heat will be increased from 82 degrees to 84 degrees. OPEN HOUSE SIGNS For those home sellers who will be holding an open house, please remind your sales agent that only one open house and one directional sign may be placed in the common area with prior notification to the management office. Signs may not be placed in the traffic circles. Flyers that include directions may be left with the gate attendant for distribution to prospective buyers. COMPUTER THEFT It is very sad to report that a computer was stolen from the Lodge Computer Room on Friday, Sept. 4. Further investigation will be conducted to locate the computer and the thief. Please make sure to protect your valuables when using the facilities. HOMEOWNER SUGGESTIONS The Board received the following homeowner suggestions and gave these directives: 1. Install handicap door/back entry into the Salon. Submitted to the Ad Hoc Interior Renovation Committee 2. Janitor Arthur Madrigal did a great job cleaning the Paddle Tennis court. 3. Chair exercise classes for residents. Homeowners are welcome to join the current exercise classes and use a chair. You may also create an interest group and submit to Cindy Graves, Activities Director. 4. Always have someone at the desk. Every attempt is made to have an attendant at the front desk. As we are a very active community there are times that the attendant is away from the desk starting the movie, making popcorn, assisting residents with the computers, patrolling the pool, setting up an activity room, and many other tasks that will leave the desk unattended. We appreciate your patience! 5. Establishing a gift shop. The Board decided not to move forward with this suggestion. 6. Ladies bathroom floor wet at the Lodge pool. This issue will be reviewed to determine what action can be taken to mitigate the wet floor. 7. No back up projector bulb. A back up projector bulb is available, however the projector unit failed. Research was being conducted on whether the projector could be repaired or required complete replacement. It was determined that it was more cost effective to replace the entire projector. 8. Summit should be open the same hours as the Lodge. The current budget supports a 12-hour schedule. As the community moves towards build out additional hours may be added. 9. Replace broken movie theater system with big screen HD TV. This will be considered with the next scheduled equipment replacement. 10. Lodge pool could have hours of 7 to 9 am designated for lap swimming/walking times. This will be submitted to the Rules & Regulations Committee for review. 11. Install stop sign in front of the Summit before circle. This will be submitted to the Safety and Facilities Committee for review. 12. Vending machines by pool. This suggestion will be submitted to the Safety and Facilities Committee. 13. If a dog park is approved for the Summit fencing away from the Calvert Park homes will be required. The Board has decided to purchase an additional dog waste station and install in the requested area. 15. Provide drinking cups in the RCN building. A cup dispenser will be installed in the RCN building kitchen. 16. Install an exit door in the RCN building. There are two exit doors for residents use. 17. Light the flag if flown at night. Email or mail or carry in your suggestion to the (also newly named— see story on page 7) FirstService Residential management office in the building in question.
