FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2015 33 Performing Arts Club Wow! Where has the year gone? It's October already, the month where I get to save lots of money on Halloween candy So, what's coming up? This month is no charge: Friday Night at the Lodge, 2 Radio Shows, Oct. 23 at 6 pm. We will be performing, "My Friend Irma" and "The Lone Ranger." Producer Tom Shelley has this in his capable hands and will make sure to bring you another successful evening of laughter and entertainment. Don't miss it. Bring dinner from Smitty's, your favorite beverages, and of course, your friends! It will be another enjoyable evening out. Leading up to the Holiday Show, the choir just received their new music. We're going to be doing some of the popular and beautiful songs from last year but as a result of our improving over this past year. Choir master, Barbara Wasco, decided to add some music that is technical, difficult and amazing. You need to attend the Holiday Show just to hear the melodic new sounds coming from our choir. If you are interested in joining our choir, just come down any Monday at 3 pm to the Ballroom. You don't need a terrific voice. I love the camaraderie and fun. If you do have a good voice, then we really want you! The Holiday Show… there are two dates available, Friday, Dec. 4 and Saturday, Dec. 5. The shows are exactly the same. This is going to be a fabulous show. Besides the choir, there are some variety acts. One is a very talented singer, Norma Washburn. I, for one, am so looking forward to that! John Horning will be back with some more of his magic… and other acts. All this, in addition to the short essays from the Writers Club on "What the Holidays Mean to You." This month, we'll be having our meeting to determine our schedule for 2016. For example, we usually put on the PG-55+ show every other year. We had such a wonderful response to this year's show, we were wondering, should we do it every year? What about a Classical Music night? There are old game shows that we could try to put our spin on… what do you think? What are your thoughts on shows you would enjoy? Please put on your thinking caps and contact me by phone or email, ASAP. Your input is requested. If you have questions or want to reach me, email terimk@verizon.net or call (951) 992-9156. Enjoy your October. ~ Teri Meyers-Kelman
