| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | October 2015 | 6 Fall has arrived. As I write this it is still pretty warm here and for the past several days, we've had some real stormy weather. I think we'll all be glad for some cooler fall weather. Attention Pool and Spa Users: One project scheduled to begin this month is the re-plastering of the Spa. The board approved the project at the August meeting. This is something that is scheduled every four to five years and the funds are set aside in the reserve account. The spa will be closed for approximately three weeks, depending on the weather. The pool is expected to remain open during the construction but may be closed for a few days for pool rail repairs. Please check with the Lodge front desk for updates on when the pool/spa will re-open. Also, please be careful when walking around the area during construction. The "Age Re-Verification" project is going well and we are getting a good response so far. If you are reading this and haven't submitted the forms or lost/misplaced them, we have extras. Please stop by and fill one out. We are trying to avoid the expense of sending out second notices. Another reminder regarding the front gate; I've been told that many of you notice the guard waving to you as you enter the resident lane. This gesture does not mean that they will automatically raise the gate arm for you. They are just being friendly. They do not raise the gate arm unless there are a few cars in each lane. (This is to keep the cars from blocking Tampico Ave. the street next to the entrance) PLEASE drive slowly by the antenna reader. If the gate arm is in the "up" position when you approach, and no cars are in front of you, it's safe to proceed. If you are following another vehicle, please allow the vehicle in front of you to go completely through the gate, making sure that the gate arm stays in the "up" position before approaching the gate arm area. Too many gate arm incidents have happened because the driver has driven too fast past the antenna reader (their signal does not get captured) or the cameras capture them rapidly approaching the car in front of them. All it takes to avoid a gate arm strike is to allow a safe distance between your vehicle and the one in front of you. Please drive with caution. A few last minute reminders: please log in your guests into the Dwelling Live website, drive safely throughout the community (25 MPH), stop at the posted stop sign intersections, and pet owners please pick up after your pets. I hope you all have a safe and peaceful Halloween. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I appreciate all of the input I receive from you. Enjoy the rest of the Hemet Herald this month!
