16 OUR YUCAIPA | NOVEMBER 2015 By Natalie Palmer Local hair metal 80's tribute band Stay Tuned will perform their annual concert to benefit Yucaipa High School's Best Buddies program on Saturday, Nov. 14 in the school's multipurpose room. Best Buddies is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The show starts at 5:15 pm and will be just $5 at the door. All proceeds benefit the Best Buddies program. The band is reaching out to the community for funds for much needed updated production equipment for the show. Donate at www.gofundme.com/bestbuddiesbenefit/donate. Each year the band hosts a special surprise guest that jams with the band on stage. Last year's group was popular 80's hard rock band Great White. Another legendary hard rock band is tentatively on the line up for this years show. Stay Tuned is made of Thomas Stibblie, lead vocals; Jacob Stibbie, lead guitar; James Jenkins, bass guitar; and Lukas Valencia, drums. "Oh, it doesn't matter what they say in the papers 'Cause it's always been the same old scene. There's a new band in town But you can't get the sound from a story in a magazine… Aimed at your average teen." ~ Billy Joel, "It's Still Rock And Roll To Me" Band Boosts Best Buddies
