We meet Thurs., Nov. 5 and Nov. 19 at 1 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of each month. Our summer meetings (July, August, and September) are held on the third Thursday of these months. The club is for persons of all computer skill levels. Each meeting will feature various topics and speakers. Handouts are given out for each presentation so you can take notes. This is a great way to share information and learn ways of becoming an effective computer user. Nov. 5: Configuring Windows 10 Nov. 19: Christmas brag letter and Adobe labels. Future topics are: Dec. 3: Holiday party in the Multipurpose Room. Information for the party will be given out at the November meeting. Dec. 17: No meeting. Membership dues are $20 per year per household. Guests are welcome. At the meetings we raffle off to a lucky attendee a gift card. Check our website at www. computerclubatsunlakes.org to get an extra raffle ticket. I know that's a roundabout way to tell you about the Sun Lakes Photo Group. We're the ones with the photos. Meetings are always on the second Monday of the month at 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. The November meeting is on Nov. 9. We have a projector system and photos can be brought on either a CD or a flash drive, sometimes known as a thumb drive. If you would like to see what members of the group have been doing there is an electronic display next to the Main Clubhouse lounge with revolving photos. Some members had no idea which end of the camera was which and you will see that their progress is amazing. We had a field trip on Oct. 20 to Joshua Tree National Park. If you were on the trip please bring your photos to share with the group. Normally we bring up to five pictures on flash drive or CD. We will also be reporting on plans for our December all inclusive holiday catered dinner. We hope to get a minimum of 25 or it's back to the old potluck party. If you enjoy taking photographs you certainly will like attending the Sun Lakes Photo Group. Meetings are informal, there are no dues and whether you are a novice or a pro it is always fun to see what others are doing with their cameras. Info., Steve Felber,769-6898. Photography We wonder about the purpose of life… What higher purpose than to discover our True Nature? Meditation, an integral part of proceeding on a path of Self (God) – Realization, promises to do just that. When the mind with its myriad thoughts becomes quiet and still, we can feel what lies beyond. The Pure, Non-Dual (only ONE) Consciousness lies beyond and is our True Eternal Being. Satsang (group meeting with a spiritual aim) begins with a 15 min. meditation followed by a discourse, the subject of which is given below. A short video clip is also presented by a teacher adhering to the same teaching of Non-Duality. As always questions are warmly encouraged. 11/4 Counter Intuitive Response to Conflict: Enter into Silence 11/11 Truth and Prayer 11/18 Surrender to Self /God 11/25 Resistance to Truth – the struggle between self and Self We meet every Wednesday from 2:30 – 3:45 pm (except for the 4th Wednesday of the month on which day the time changes to 3:30 – 4:45 pm) in the Multipurpose Room (next to the Library) in the Main Clubhouse.
